2019/20 Fixtures Release Revealed

The fixtures for the upcoming 2019/20 Essex Olympian League Premier, 1,2,3,4 & 5 divisions have been released today.

Saturday 10th August will see the Premier Division open up with two fixtures taking place with Canning Town hosting Leigh Ramblers and Rayleigh Town set to welcome Bishop’s Stortford Swifts.

A week later on Saturday 17th August, reigning Premier Division champions Buckhurst Hill begin their title defence campaign at Rayleigh Town. For those that don’t remember, they won the division by a 25 point gap over Kelvedon Hatch in May. Coincidentally, Kelvedon begin their campaign away at Catholic United that very same day.

2018/19 Division 1 champions Shenfield AFC begin their debut season in the Premier Division as hosts to Springfield whilst Basildon Town return to life as a Premier Division side following their promotion in May as hosts to Canning Town.

Saturday 24th August is when the fun and games begin for the rest of our member sides as there are 22 games available to attend.

Buckhurst Hill and Bishop’s Stortford Swifts will not involved in Premier Division action that day as they will be competing in the Essex Olympian League Senior Challenge Cup at Roding Lane. There is still five other Premier Division games taking place that day including a local affair between Rayleigh Town and Leigh Ramblers.

In Division 1, Chingford Athletic begin their new life in the division by hosting Herongate FC whilst Manford Way start with a trip to Ramadan Scottia following their relegation from the Premier Division.

In Division 2, 2018/19 Division 3 champions Old Southendian Reserves start off at fellow-promoted side Wakering Sports at Cupids Country Club whilst fellow-promoted side Westhamnians begin life back in the division with a trip to fellow-promoted side Laindon Orient.

Division 3 sees new sides Hullbridge Sports A hosting Buckhurst Hill Reserves and Leigh Town Reserves travelling to Toby Reserves.

Division 4 sees relegated-Roydon facing fellow-relegated side Old Chelmsfordians Reserves whilst new side Forest Glade host Wakering Sports Reserves.

And lastly, Division 5 has four games on offer. Most notably Old Barkabbyeans beginning life at Wakering Sports A following their relegation from Division 4 last season whilst Runwell Sports Reserves go once again following their 5th place finish last season with a home tie against Roydon Reserves.

Saturday 31st August sees an entire list of fixtures with 31 available to choose from. Most notably, Catholic United represent the league with a trip to the Old Spotted Dog Stadium in Forest Gate, East London to take on Essex Senior League side Clapton FC in the FA Vase whilst up the road, FC Hamlets will restart their push for promotion to the Premier Division from Division 1 with a trip to Chingford Athletic whilst 2018/19 Division 4 Champions and runners-up Corinthians and Epping Town start with a home tie against Laindon Orient and an away tie to AS Rawreth in Division 2.

ACD United start their new life in the EOFL with a trip to Hutton Reserves in Division 3 whilst Lakeside Reserves begin their new season as members of Division 3 with a trip to Dagenham United.

Division 4 sees Roydon host Canning Town Reserves and Laindon Orient Reserves take on Chingford Athletic Reserves in the pick of the action available whilst Bishop’s Stortford Swifts Reserves attempt to finish higher than their 11th place spot in Division 5 as they host Leigh Ramblers Reserves who suffered relegation from Division 4 last season. Herongate Athletic Reserves also travel to Harold Wood Athletic Development.

The fixtures for September will be released once all our of affiliated county FA’s release the fixtures of their respective Saturday competitions so please do stay tuned. However we will release the news of the fixtures for September where accordingly.
