There have recently been problems with players reporting that they have tested positive for Covid-19 and have attended training during the week. This creates a problem for their club.
It has been suggested that before attending training players should carry out a lateral flow test on themselves.
Test kits are freely available by going to gov.uk/get-collect-code and can then be collected from your local chemist.
With many players not yet having had the full set of three jabs, the League are fully behind this idea and encourage our clubs to ask their players to do this before attending training and matches in the New Year.
There is now a three week gap before our season restarts and if we put this into practice it may help prevent postponements in the New Year.
