Billy Cove’s Division 2 side Epping Town travelled to Woodlands School to take on Isthmian North side Basildon United in their 2nd pre-season friendly of the campaign. With this game being split into three halves consisting of 30 minutes apiece, Basildon led very early on with that remaining the way for the rest of the game. Garfinkle was Epping’s goalscorer.

Enfield 1893 4-3 Bishop’s Stortford Swifts
Premier Division side Bishop’s Stortford Swifts travelled to Essex Senior League side Enfield 1893 for this most recent pre-season friendly which they lost 4-3. Chris Gibbs and Adam Palmer (x2) got the goals for the Swifts.

Chingford AFC 4-2 Shenfield AFC
Division 1 side Chingford welcomed Premier Division side Shenfield for this most latest friendly at Town Mead in Waltham Abbey in what was a good performance.

FC Hamlets 3-0 Barkingside
Division 1 side FC Hamlets took on Eastern Senior League South side Barkingside for their 2nd pre-season friendly and managing a 3-0 victory at Chigwell Sports Ground.

Forest Glade 1-1 Laindon Orient Reserves
Division 4 sides Forest Glade and Laindon Orient Reserves took part in a 1-1 draw on Wednesday in what was a very good workout for both sides.

Harold Wood Athletic 0-4 Redbridge FC
Premier Division side Harold Wood Athletic welcomed Essex Senior League side Redbridge to The Rec. Harold Wood managed to hold their opponents with a 0-0 scoreline at half time before Redbridge finally pulled through with four second half goals.

Premier Division side Leigh Ramblers welcomed Essex Senior League side neighbours Southend Manor for their latest friendly. Wayne Seal’s side managed a 3-2 victory over Adam Peek’s side with their goals scored by Justin Hazell, Matt Brinklow and Micheal Coffey.

Division 2 side Wakening Sports carried on their pre-season preparations by hosting neighbours Great Wakering Rovers who currently play their trade in the Isthmian North. In front of a crowd of 37 people at Cupids Country Club, Sports fell to a scoreline of 3-0.
