September Fixtures Released

The fixtures for the 2019/20 Essex Olympian League Premier, 1,2,3,4 & 5 divisions in September have been released today.

Saturday 7th September will see the start of the Senior League Cup and Reserve League Cup campaigns with many of our member sides taking part in those matches. The most notable game being in the Senior League Cup when Epping Town lock horns with Corinthians for the first of three times at least this season. Both teams having played each other last season whilst they were members of Division 4 but coincidentally following a double promotion, they’ll be locking horns again in Division 2 this season.

A week later on Saturday 14th September, a similar trend of both and Senior League Cup alongside Reserve League Cup games will be taking place again. Most notably that weekend in the Premier Division, Buckhurst Hill will host Catholic United in what will be a fantastic game between two former-Premier Division champions. That being said, that game will be postponed should Catholic defeat Essex Senior League side Clapton FC on Friday 30th August in their FA Vase tie which is being held at Aveley FC’s Parkside ground. The other stand out tie on that day is Division 1 side Shoebury Town hosting Division 5 side Old Barkabbeyans in the Senior League Cup at Cupids Country Club, Great Wakering,

Saturday 21st September will see the beginning of the Essex Premier Cup with three EOFL sides in the form of Old Southendian Reserves and Beacon Hill Rovers (both from Division 2) and Premier Division side Sungate taking part in First Round ties against opposition from the Essex & Suffolk Border League and the Essex Senior League Reserve Division.

Saturday 28th September will see many of our member sides take part in the Essex Junior Cup whilst we also have the added bonus of the FA Inter League Cup game against our friends from the Amateur Football Combination. More details will be released about that game in due course. The standout game of the weekend has to go to the Division 3 tie between new sides ACD United and Leigh Town Reserves which could prove to be one fierce and challenging game for both sides.

The fixtures for October will be released in due course so please do stay tuned. However we will release the news of the fixtures over our social media channels where accordingly.

And lastly, we do wish everyone from the players to the management teams to the club officials and even the fans of all our member clubs all the very best for this upcoming month in what is set to be another fantastic month of football involving so many great teams and people.
