I am the media manager for Catholic United and I wanted to reach out to ask if it were possible for the league to reach out to all clubs on our behalf. We are looking to start a Toy Drive, to ask for toys for babies and children up to the age of 17. These are donations to give a little bit of Christmas magic to as many children and young people as possible. With the current cost of living crisis, it is anticipated that this year will require a greater need for gifts. The gifts will be distributed to local children’s centres, food banks, refuges and children’s parties set up by local charities, and are given to vulnerable children and young people who may not have the opportunity to celebrate Christmas.

I guess this is perfect for parents looking to make some space for new toys this Christmas or for those who just want to provide a little bit of happiness.

We are looking for the following to be donated:

• New toys only, suitable for babies, boys and girls aged up to 17 (if any toys require batteries, please include these too
• Vouchers for toys or days out
• Selection packs
• Pens, pencils and colouring books
• Toiletry sets

It would be great for all clubs to donate one or two items and have the league come together at a difficult time of year for families and children.
