In the Senior Division Cup there was a local derby when Rayleigh Athletic took on Rayleigh Town. This was Athletics first season in the league and as happened the previous season it was the second division side that ran out surprise winners 2 – 1 over Rayleigh Town.

Herongate Athletic won Reserve Division one when they finished three points clear of Rayleigh Town

Cossors Reserves ompleted the Reserve double when they beat Springfield by a solitary goal in the Reserve Cup final and also gained promotion from Reserve Division Two.

The Representative side had a mixed and busy season playing eight games and winning three, losing three and drawing two including one against an Essex County XI which included several players from our own league

This season proved yet another difficult one for the Fixtures Secretary who still had 200 matches to arrange after bad weather in both February and March.
